VR Converter Studio
VR Converter Studio processes the videos and projects you choose on your Mac: source media, previews, project state, export settings and exported files are not uploaded to our servers. No commercial account is required; beta access does require registration with your name and email, a one-time code and online validation every time the app is launched.
Beta access and validation
To activate the beta, we process your name, email, app version and build, language, session timestamps and a random installation identifier. The server stores only an HMAC transformation of the identifier and OTP, plus a hash of the access token. The raw token is returned once and stored by the app in the protected macOS Keychain. The app validates the session online at every launch. After activation, our support address receives a notice containing your name, email, version, build, language and activation time.
Optional feedback and diagnostics
Only when you choose to send feedback does the app transmit your message, a sanitized application log, recent export reports and limited technical metadata such as app version, build and language. These items are used to reproduce the issue and answer your report. Videos, projects, exported files and other media content are not attached or uploaded.
Purposes, legal grounds and recipients
Registration and session data is needed to provide the requested beta access, send the code, validate or revoke the session and prevent abuse. Processing is based on providing the service you requested and, for security and reliability, legitimate interests. Feedback is processed to handle your request and improve the software. We do not use this data for advertising, profiling or marketing.
Data is available to authorized personnel and providers needed for hosting, infrastructure security and email delivery, as listed in the general privacy notice. We do not sell personal data or make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Retention and your choices
Code requests are deleted when they expire or within 24 hours after use. Beta session records are retained while access remains active and deleted within 30 days after revocation. Messages and diagnostic attachments follow the support-request retention criteria in the general notice. Sending feedback is optional; your name, email and online validation are required to use the beta.

M3U8 Downloader and browser extension
M3U8 Downloader works on URLs and destination folders chosen by the user. Analysis results, download queues, downloaded files, optional browser sessions, technical logs and preferences stay on the Mac. The app connects to the pages and media providers selected by the user only to perform the requested analysis or download.
M3U8 Downloader Mac Plugin for Chrome, Edge and Safari accesses the URL of the active tab only after the user clicks its toolbar button. The URL is sent through the browser's native messaging interface to the locally installed M3U8 Downloader app. The extension does not read page contents, browsing history, cookies, authentication data, downloads or other tabs, and it does not run on pages in the background.
The app and extension do not require an account, use advertising or analytics, create user profiles, sell data, or transmit the selected URL, videos or downloaded files to us or to third parties. If the Mac app is not installed, the extension opens the M3U8 Downloader product page only after the user chooses to download it.
