Ask your National Contact Point how the lump sum is set before you plan your budget. An advance and interim payments are possible.

Mistakes that cost you the money
- Leaving one partner out of the Participant Register until the last days. Consequence: The partner cannot be part of the submission and the consortium may fail the requirements.
- Building a consortium where partners are not independent or sit in the same country. Consequence: The proposal does not meet the participation rules and can be rejected.
- Adding a partner that is under EU sanctions or in an exclusion situation. Consequence: That partner is excluded from taking part in the call.
- Expecting to report single invoices when costs are a lump sum. Consequence: You plan the wrong budget structure and waste preparation time.
- Planning to sell or exclusively license the results after the project without checking the rules. Consequence: The funder may object to the transfer or licence.
