It suits you if…

  • You can build a community-driven tourism model that involves tourists or users of the sea.
  • You work with partners from different EU or associated countries in a consortium.
  • Your project can cover training and skills for local communities and visitors.
  • Your project focuses on a single sea basin or Mission lighthouse.
  • Your organisation is established in one of the countries the call lists as eligible.

It is not for you if…

  • You plan to work alone: the call expects an international consortium.
  • Your organisation is established in Russia, Belarus or non-government controlled territories of Ukraine.
  • Your project would cover several sea basins at once: each proposal addresses only a single one.
  • Your organisation is under EU administrative sanctions or in an exclusion situation listed in the General Annexes.

How much you can get

The call has a total budget of €6,000,000, shared among all the projects selected. The call does not state a cap per project or a funding rate: ask the National Contact Points before you build the budget. An advance payment is available.

What it pays and what it does not

Pays

Does not pay

  • The consultant's fee for writing the proposal cannot go into the budget.

What you need

  • Registration of your organisation on the portal, needed before you submit.
  • Partners from different countries for the consortium.

How to apply

  1. Apply online on the Funding & Tenders Portal, the EU portal for grants. Register your organisation there first.
  2. Build a consortium with partners from different countries, and choose the single sea basin or Mission lighthouse you address.
  3. Fill in Part A online, then download, complete and upload Part B as PDF with the annexes.
  4. Submit before Tuesday 21 September 2027.
  5. Before you submit, reread the official call: the act prevails.

Mistakes that cost you the money

  • Proposing a project that spans several sea basins or lighthouses. Consequence: The proposal does not meet a condition of the call.
  • Showing fewer areas, or areas in a single country, than the call asks. Consequence: The demonstration requirement is not met.
  • Including a partner established in Russia or Belarus, or under EU restrictive measures. Consequence: That entity is not eligible in any capacity.
  • Putting the consultant's fee into the budget. Consequence: In EU calls this cost cannot go into the budget.
  • Leaving the upload of Part B and the annexes to the last day. Consequence: You may miss the closing date.
