Professional surface
Microperforated aluminium. Image, sound, longevity.
A rigid screen made from microperforated aluminium panels, fixed to the structure and free from pressurised membranes. It preserves geometry, distributes the image evenly and lets audio sit behind the projection surface.
Controlled optics
Low gain, uniformity and flatness are specified for fulldome multi-projection.
Invisible audio
Perforations pass sound, keeping the acoustic scene aligned with the image.

The final proposal is confirmed against the real site. Any building permits or other approvals that may be required, masonry work and bases other than the standard PVC flooring we supply are not included in the price.

Structure, audience, services and building are coordinated before production and assembly.

- Assembly checks covering structure, panels, fixings, electrical systems, projection and audio.
- Commissioning, required documentation, staff training and final capacity confirmed only against the approved design.
Professional dome
A permanent planetarium is an architectural system.
Architecture, optical surface, audio and multi-projection are integrated into the theatre.

- An acoustically transparent surface allows audio to sit behind the image.
- TholusOS Enterprise controls geometry, blending, colour and brightness on the real theatre.

Standard-system performance
Effective resolution is set by the projection architecture: approximately 2K with three projectors and approximately 4K with five. The final channel count depends on the theatre design.

Standard projectors
Single-chip DLP, 7,500 lumens, 1920 × 1200 and 1500:1 contrast per projector.
Usable brightness
Optics, warping, blending and calibration reduce nominal brightness. Usable dome brightness is measured after calibration.
Blending and resolution
Overlap zones use part of the pixels and light to merge images, so effective resolution is lower than the mathematical sum of the projectors.
Uniformity with TholusOS
TholusOS Enterprise corrects geometry, colour and brightness to equalise the dome. Output can vary between points.
Calibration
Guided calibration takes approximately 30 minutes. Initial assembly follows detailed design; multi-projector recalibration takes approximately 1 hour.

Operational continuity

Commissioning, spares and maintenance are defined for the installed theatre.
Warranty
3-year European warranty on the Tholus Landmark supply, under the contract terms and applicable law.
SLA response times
P1, system stopped or show impossible: acknowledged within 1 business day. P2, degraded service: within 2 days. P3, non-blocking requests: within 3 days.
Replacement
A covered critical spare is dispatched within 3 business days when in stock. Otherwise, we provide a dated recovery plan within 2 days. Transit time depends on the destination.
Spare parts
The original component or a compatible replacement remains available for at least 10 years after delivery. Critical spares are identified in the technical documentation.
Remote assistance
Included during the warranty for diagnostics, configuration, TholusOS and calibration support, with access agreed with the customer.
On-site service
Available across Europe on request. After diagnosis, we provide a plan and quotation within 3 business days, targeting an intervention within 10 business days, subject to site access and travel.
Maintenance programme
Annual preventive programme covering structure, ventilation, projection, audio, server, safety and calibration, plus an additional check after relocation or work on optical components.
Landmark institutional supply
Handover includes testing, training and documentation.

Why choose a rigid dome?
For geometric stability, a professional surface, behind-screen audio and a longer expected life. It is especially recommended from 15 metres upwards.
Does it require a continuously running turbine?
No. The screen consists of rigid panels fixed to the structure: it uses no pressurised membrane and needs no continuous turbine to hold its shape.
What does the price include?
The complete turnkey system: dome and screen, multi-projection, audio, base content package, Stellarium, WorldWide Telescope, two games, training, Tholus server, five years of TholusOS Enterprise, design, assembly, testing, commissioning, a three-year European warranty and the technical documentation or certifications within our scope. Any building permits or other approvals that may be required, masonry work and bases other than the standard PVC flooring we supply are not included in the price.
Can audio sit behind the screen?
Yes. Microperforated aluminium panels are acoustically transparent and allow loudspeakers to be placed behind the projection surface.
Is it only for astronomy?
No. It can host fulldome films, science, art, music, events, presentations and interactive content. We can also provide immersive content and games.
How long does delivery take?
It depends on diameter, building, ancillary works and approvals. The schedule is defined in the executive project before work begins.
