It suits you if…
- You are a non-profit organisation with a record of training groups against gender-based violence or violence against children.
- You have already awarded and managed grants to other organisations in this field.
- You can pass money on to civil society groups and also train them.
- Your legal entity is established in an EU country or a country associated to the CERV programme.
- You can register in the Participant Register before you submit.
It is not for you if…
- You are a private individual: natural persons are excluded.
- You run a for-profit business: the lead applicant must be non-profit.
- You want money for your own direct work with victims, not for passing funds on to others.
How much you can get
The grant is a lump sum based on the estimated project budget and a funding rate of 90%. The project cost ceiling is €2,500,000. If you spend €100,000, you receive €90,000 and pay €10,000 yourself. The call does not state whether you must show your own share in a particular form, so ask your CERV contact point before you build the budget. Other amounts shown by our data still need checking in the official call.
- If you spend €100,000, you receive €90,000 and pay €10,000 yourself.
What it pays and what it does not
Pays
- Lump sum contributions, a fixed amount agreed in advance instead of itemised invoices.
- Communication costs for presenting the project on your own website or social media accounts.
- Volunteers’ unit costs, without indirect costs.
Does not pay
- Running costs of the organisation, in the third-party projects you fund.
- A separate website for the project.
- Consultant fees for writing the application.

Each step explained in more detail: “How to apply for a grant in 7 steps”
Mistakes that cost you the money
- Applying without enough proven experience in training groups or awarding grants in this field. Consequence: The application does not meet the conditions and may be rejected.
- Writing a project with only the funds to third parties, or only the training. Consequence: The proposal is incomplete, because the call asks for both.
- Forgetting to register in the Participant Register before submitting. Consequence: You cannot submit the proposal.
- Submitting several proposals as coordinator with the same organisation. Consequence: The organisation breaks the rule of a single proposal as lead applicant.
- Putting a separate project website or the running costs of funded groups in the budget. Consequence: The call does not pay these costs.
- Leaving the child protection policy out when activities involve children. Consequence: The application is missing a document the call asks for.
