It suits you if…

  • You work with others in an international consortium, not alone.
  • Your team can build a participatory method that involves residents and different disciplines.
  • Your team includes social sciences and humanities expertise or institutions.
  • You can test the method in neighbourhoods in different countries taking part in the programme.
  • Your organisation has its registered office in an eligible area.

It is not for you if…

  • You plan a single-country project: the call asks for neighbourhoods in different countries.
  • Your project is not about planning existing neighbourhoods with their residents.
  • Your team has no social sciences and humanities expertise and cannot add it.
  • Your organisation has its registered office outside the eligible areas.

How much you can get

The call has a total budget of €7,000,000 for all projects together. It does not state a minimum or maximum grant per project, a funding rate or whether you must pay a share yourself. Eligible costs take the form of a lump sum: a fixed amount, not a refund of each invoice. Ask the National Contact Point before you plan the budget. An advance payment is available.

What it pays and what it does not

Pays

  • Project costs paid as one lump sum, not item by item.

Does not pay

  • The fee of a consultant who writes your proposal cannot go into the budget.

Mistakes that cost you the money

  • Leaving social sciences and humanities out of the team. Consequence: The proposal does not meet a requirement of the call.
  • Planning tests in one country only. Consequence: The proposal does not match the purpose of the call.
  • Budgeting a consultant's fee for writing the proposal. Consequence: The cost is not accepted in the budget.
  • Skipping the Annex C checks on capacity and exclusion. Consequence: The consortium may not meet the capacity and exclusion rules described in Annex C.
  • Applying alone. Consequence: The application does not meet the consortium rule.
